Registered Information Security Specialist (登録セキスペ)

Japan's national cybersecurity licence, officially called 情報処理安全確保支援士. Candidates first pass the SC exam (情報処理安全確保支援士試験), then register with IPA to use the protected title 登録セキスペ. Registered specialists must complete mandatory continuing education (オンライン講習 annually, 集合講習 every three years) to maintain their status. Employers in government contracting and critical infrastructure commonly require or prefer this credential.
